white board magnets
White board magnets are usually ceramic. They are
made by pressing isotropic ferrite powder. The strength
of the magnetic field is about half of the normal
ferrite magnets.
The most common use is as a so called "fridge
magnet" for attaching notes etc. to a fridge
or a notice board.
White board magnets are available as raw magnets or
embedded in plastic casing that come in a variety
of colours.
The magnets are normally magnetized only on one surface,
so they are magnetic only on one side.
These
magnets are an inexpensive alternative for simple
fastening purposes.
